About The Role We are excited to offer a part-time opportunity for an experienced Caregiver at Keith Park Retirement Village in Hobsonville, specifically in our Special Care Unit. In this role, you will have the privilege of working with residents who require compassionate and skilled support, particularly those living with dementia. This part-time position involves working on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Your responsibilities will include overseeing residents and providing engaging activities tailored to their needs. You will follow individual care plans, ensuring that the care you provide is of the highest standard, as if it were for your own loved ones. Building meaningful relationships with our residents and their families is essential, and we encourage you to learn about their backgrounds to enhance their quality of life. You will also have the opportunity to utilize our innovative care technology, including our purpose-built care app, myRyman. About You Experience in dementia care Strong empathy and outstanding communication skills A natural kindness and a friendly, professional demeanor A commitment to obtaining or completing the relevant unit standards (or an equivalent qualification as approved by Ryman) within 18 months of starting your employment Please note that while we are open to applications from overseas candidates, we require applicants for this position to have New Zealand work rights due to immigration regulations.
