Supporting children to achieve their potential Equipping families with lifelong tools Fostering supportive adaptive communities Recognising and optimising children’s individual learning capabilities We are seeking a committed OT to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team. As an OT, you will be required to assess, plan and implement effective intervention for each tamaiti experiencing a variety of developmental challenges, within the centre-based programme. You will be providing support and strategies to whānau managing the sensory regulation difficulties, activities of daily living and equipment related needs for each tamaiti. Intervention occurs within a fun, engaging, playful environment with regular direct contact with whānau and tamaiti. You will work within strength-based and collaborative relationships with tamariki, their whānau, colleagues and the wider community including early childhood centres. We are seeking individuals with New Zealand Occupational Therapy Registration. Enable NZ Assessor accreditation would be desirable The ability to demonstrate an awareness of ethnic and cultural differences, religious beliefs and obligations relating to te Tiriti o Waitangi. A thorough understanding of child development and experience working with young children with additional needs. Empathetic and compassionate. Flexibility.
