The roles: We're on the lookout for experienced Class 5 Drivers to join us in the Bay of Plenty - based out of Tauranga & Mt Maunganui specifically - to fill the following positions: Swinglift operator (permanent position based out of Tauriko - predominantly working locally & moving containers) Truck & Trailer B-train operator (1x permanent + 1x casual Aug/Sept - March/April working on our Bakels contract based out of Mt Maunganui). You'll be working alongside professional crews that value safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Day-to-day tasks: Represent Hilton Haulage professionally - you're the face of our business Comply with all health & safety related rules, policies, procedures and directions given by the Employer and/or customer - Health & Safety inductions are required for all customer sites. Participate as a member of the driving team, completing all work as assigned and assisting other drivers as required - attending Toolbox meetings, pre-start inspection checks, and ensuring your vehicle is maintained to a high standard. Work carefully and drive defensively to ensure your own safety, and the safety of others, driving in a manner that actively considers factors such as weight limits, hazardous materials regulations, weather and traffic conditions. Work pattern: These positions are primarily dayshift with occasional weekend work as required and potential roster work when required during busy periods. As with any transport role, flexibility is expected to support business and seasonal demands. The roles involve predominantly local routes but may at times require out-of-town travel with occasional trips further north or south during seasonal peaks and at customer request.
