About the Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic Administrator here at Wairarapa Hospital. Our hospital Administration functions 24/7, applicants must be available to work AM/PM shifts - weekdays. This is a permanent position working 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE). Rostered & Rotating About the Team/Service/ Location We are seeking a welcoming, organised, and adaptable Receptionist/Ward Administrator to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, whānau, visitors, and staff, you will provide a professional, compassionate, and customer-focused service that reflects our commitment to equitable healthcare. You will be confident managing a busy reception environment, responding to telephone enquiries, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the service. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing demands while remaining calm, flexible, and professional in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a clinical support service team, build positive working relationships, and contribute to a culture of respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.
