Van Drivers, Scooter Operators and Safety Ambassadors (Palmerston North) Flamingo Scooters – Palmerston North, North Island We're the proudly Kiwi owned and operated electric scooter sharing company. Our mission is to offer people a fun, safe and easy way to get around. We are looking for people to join our team as Van Drivers, Scooter Operators and Safety Ambassadors! We pay the Living Wage - $28.95 per hour. No certifications are required. We are looking for all-rounders who are keen to swap between these roles as required. Your main responsibilities will be to: Drive a van to swap batteries on scooters Re-position scooters throughout the day Ensure scooters are parked correctly and respond to any reports Inspect and sanitise scooters on the street Provide on-ground support to riders Monitor rider behaviour and promote compliance and safety Repair and maintain our fleet of electric scooters Attend marketing and community events to educate riders and promote our service Follow workplace health and safety processes to ensure we are Worksafe compliant and the highest level of safety is maintained at all times You must: Be at least 18 years of age as you will need to sign up with our service and be able to ride our scooters Hold a full NZ drivers licence Be comfortable navigating and using smartphone applications Have the ability to be very active - bend and lift up to 20kg on a frequent basis Be motivated and excited to learn Have the ability to work well with others Be hard working and willing to go the extra mile Between 15 and 25 hours a week are available, with the potential to increase to up to 40 hours during June and July. The role offers flexibility to accommodate university schedules and other commitments. Hours will generally be between 7am and 11pm, seven days a week. Times of work can be discussed. You must be willing and able to work on weekends. You must be available to work during June and July.
