Certifying Plumber

Certifying Plumber Tradestaff is seeking motivated and experienced Certifying Plumbers to join our team in Wellington. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of projects, oversee quality plumbing work and support a professional team while earning a competitive hourly rate with weekly pay. Location: Wellington Start date: Available immediately Pay rate: $45 per hour (weekly pay) About the Role As a Certifying Plumber, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing work across a range of projects while managing compliance requirements and supporting other tradespeople on-site. You’ll bring strong technical knowledge, leadership skills and a commitment to safe, compliant workmanship. Duties include: Carry out high-standard plumbing installations, maintenance and fault-finding Complete plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying work as required Run projects and manage on-site requirements Complete self-certifications and sign off compliance documentation Issue Code Compliance Certificates and PGDB compliance documentation where required Supervise, mentor and support apprentices and registered plumbers on-site Communicate professionally with clients, builders and other trades Ensure all Health & Safety protocols are followed on-site Complete work to current NZ Building Code requirements and industry standards What We're Looking For Current NZ Certifying Plumber registration with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB) Gasfitting and drainlaying certification Strong practical understanding of current NZ Building Codes and safety standards Proven trade experience across residential, commercial or maintenance projects A proactive, problem-solving attitude with strong customer service skills Clean, current New Zealand driver licence Reliable, professional and able to lead and support others on-site What's in it for you?
