We aim for students tomaintaintheirregulareducationalprogrammesas far as possibleand to transition back to school. The team is basedinHastings,at Stortford Lodge,and daily travel to students’ homes, local schools, healthsettingsand other venuesaroundthe Hawke’s Bay regionis a keycomponentof the job. We areseekingan experienced and highly skilled teacher committed to professionalism andteamwork. This teacherwill be planning and delivering programmes of work across a wide range of levels and subjects to support the diverse educational needs of our students. Proven experience,teaching in both the primary and secondary sectors is desirable and we encourage both primary and secondary trained teachers to apply.Secondary experience teaching English, Mathematics or Science would beideal. The nature of this teaching role also involvesrunning meetings,close liaison with families,schools,healthspecialistsandagencies. Collaboration, excellentcommunicationand flexibility are key to the success of our work in this setting. Applicants must be experienced NZ registered teachers with a current practising certificate. A current full, clean NZ driver licence is required. A private vehicle isrequiredfor work travel.
