That means heading outdoors, adventuring locally, learning new things, and having fun by getting stuck in. We're looking for volunteer leaders in the Upper Hutt community to support the next generation through weekly activities, planning sessions, and occasional camps. As a Volunteer Leader, you will: Inspire and encourage tamariki to reach their potential and try new things Be hands-on, enthusiastic, and patient Join a supportive team and be part of a worldwide movement Commit to weekly unit meetings during school terms, plus planning and occasional weekend events What we offer: Free training, including First Aid and outdoor skills Access to exclusive partner discounts Leadership experience and upskilling opportunities in a variety of areas A chance to make lifelong friendships and a lasting impact About GirlGuiding Sections Pippins: 5-6 years Brownies: 7-9.5 years Guides: 9.5-12.5 years Rangers: 12.5-17 years When you apply, we'll be in touch to discuss which section best suits your skills, interests and availability, as well as the needs of our local units. There is no cost to you to volunteer with GirlGuiding NZ. You'll need to be 18 years or older for health and safety requirements. A driver's licence is helpful, but not essential.
