About the Role As a Registered Nurse, you will utilise your clinicalexpertise and critical thinking to assess health needs, provide comprehensivecare, and support individuals in managing their health. This role involvesworking independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team,ensuring excellence in nursing practice across various medical and surgicalpresentations. This is a unique role within Te Tai o Poutini, where youwill be able to work within a Rural Acute Assessment and Stabilisation Unit aswell as working within inpatient care. You will also have the flexibility toexpand further. With the new model of care that is being introduced here inBuller we are changing the way that health care is being delivered to ourcommunity, and you will be involved in seeing this completion. Key Responsibilities: Provide holistic nursing assessments, develop,implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Deliver high-quality care that aligns with bestpractice guidelines and legislative requirements. Maintain accurate and professional documentation,always ensuring data security. Work closely with patients, whānau (family), andhealth professionals to optimise patient outcomes. Support sustainable service changes and contributeto practice development. Promote a safe and culturally competent practiceenvironment. Prevent, manage, and elevate clinical riskappropriately. About the Service The West Coast of the South Islandis rugged, isolated, and absolutely stunning. Stretching from Karamea in thenorth to Haast in the south, we're the largest geographical Te Whatu Oralocality, with a population of just 32,500. Delivering healthcare in thisenvironment can be challenging. This is an excellent role for a Registered Nurse whois looking to step into or expand their skills within an acute and emergencyenvironment. This is a close-knit unitwhere nurses work collaboratively, so the ability to work effectively as partof a small, high-performing team is essential. About You You will bea skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a commitment to deliverhigh-quality, patient - centred care. You will bring strong clinical skills,adaptability, and a collaborative approach to your practice. You willideally have: NewZealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC). Commitment to completing cultural competencytraining. Full, clean NZ driver's license. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work with children. Experience in a senior nursing role. Current portfolio as part of the ProfessionalDevelopment and Recognition Programme (PDRP). Completion of, or willingness to undertake, theAustralasian Triage Course. Minimum of 3 years' post-registration nursingexperience.
