About the role This role sits inside Canopy's exciting group-wide digital transformation! You'll be shaping a growing technical and business operations team with a clear, mandate to implement the Group'sISMS across the Group. Reporting to the CIO / CISO, the IT Security Manager owns cyber security, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Endpoint Detection and Response, across a multi-vendor, multi-site environment, including: Cyber operations oversight: EDR, identity analysis and operational security monitoring Leading breach and incident response, from readiness through to post incident remediation Driving implementation of the Group's Board approved Information Security Management System (ISMS) Building and developing your own security team from the ground up Partnering with the IT team, senior leadership and business/operational leaders to embed security into the transformation programme Canopy Healthcare is a leading provider of integrated healthcare services across the North Island, offering diagnostic imaging, cancer treatment and care, cardiology, breast diagnostics and surgery and pharmaceutical compounding, Together, they are dedicated to delivering patient-centred care through innovation and excellence. About the role This role sits inside Canopy's exciting group-wide digital transformation! Reporting to the CIO / CISO, the IT Security Manager owns cyber security, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Endpoint Detection and Response, across a multi-vendor, multi-site environment, including: Cyber operations oversight: EDR, identity analysis and operational security monitoring Leading breach and incident response, from readiness through to post incident remediation Driving implementation of the Group's Board approved Information Security Management System (ISMS) Building and developing your own security team from the ground up Partnering with the IT team, senior leadership and business/operational leaders to embed security into the transformation programme The successful candidate will: Have the right attitude above all: calm, pragmatic and easy to work with under pressure Have genuine operational cyber security experience, not just policy authorship. This isn't a policy only GRC role, and breach or incident response exposure is a strong advantage rather than a strict requirement Be equally credible whether their background is in traditional security, or in the business, having built security capability through direct operational experience Have 5+ years in a multi-vendor, outsourced cyber security and operational environment Have demonstrated leadership experience and capability Have experience in audit and security frameworks (ISO, NIST) Ideally hold a current industry qualification (CISSP, CISM or similar) Have a relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent commercial experience Healthcare or another regulated, digital transformation environment is a strong plus, as is certification in CrowdStrike, Darktrace or Cloudflare, and exposure to HISF and OPC requirements.
