Job Description
Master Plumbers - Wellington Central, North Island If you love a good list, you'll love this job. If you're someone who loves keeping things organised, doing things properly, and knowing that your work actually matters - we'd love to meet you. At Masterlink is New Zealand’s leading apprentice group training programme in the Plumbing industry. We grow the next generation of plumbers, gasfitters, and drainlayers across Aotearoa. As part of Master Plumbers NZ, we're a tight-knit team doing work that makes a real difference in people's lives and careers. Behind every apprentice we place and support, there's a team making sure everything runs smoothly and timely - and that's where you come in. About the role This is a fast-paced administration role working in the Master Plumbers Wellington Admin Hub. You'll be key in providing the admin support for our Masterlink apprentice operations, keeping processes moving, and people informed. This includes Health & Safety admin support for apprentices and their workplace hosts. If you have an attention for the details, get a kick out of making things happen, and like a fun working environment where everyone pitches in and gets things done – this will be your happy place. Location: Wellington - working with a national team. What you'll be doing Apprentice administration - Processing sign-ups and offboarding, maintaining our CRM, liaising with training organisations, coordinating medical checks, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Course scheduling - Arranging training courses, travel, and accommodation for apprentices, processing results, and keeping Regional Managers across everything in a timely way. Tools & PPE - Making sure apprentices have what they need on site - ordered on time, tracked accurately, and supplied through a well-managed supplier relationship. Data & reporting - Keeping HubSpot and other systems clean and current, producing reports, and providing accurate information to internal stakeholders when they need it. Health & safety - Running H&S systems and processes for the organisation. Facilitating team meetings, managing incident reporting and investigations, and supporting good health and wellbeing practices. What you'll bring Administration experience in an up-tempo environment – know how to prioritise a busy work schedule amongst plenty of distractions. The daily quiz is a priority. A working knowledge of H&S best practice in the trades would be good, ideally familiar with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 – but we can teach you this. Strong attention to detail - you pick up errors others miss and fix them without being asked. Confidence with systems - HubSpot or similar CRM experience is a bonus; MS Office competency is a must. Great communication skills - you can write clearly, follow up diplomatically, and keep multiple stakeholders informed without it feeling like a chore. We really need people like you. A proactive mindset - you spot problems before they become issues and you suggest improvements to make things better. We love that. Why Masterlink? We’re all about helping people to succeed - every task you complete supports a real person on their journey to becoming a qualified tradesperson. A genuinely great team – close, committed, and proud of what we do. Variety every day - no two days look the same in this role. Buckle up - it's going to be fun. Part of a trusted brand - Owned by Master Plumbers, Masterlink has more than 20 years' experience delivering mentored apprenticeship training, backed by an organisation that has supported New Zealand's plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying industry for 125 years. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in doing things right, stays calm when it's busy, and wants to be part of a team making a difference in New Zealand's best trades industry - we'd love to hear from you.
