Job Description AFFCO is currently seeking a passionate Improvement Engineer to join their Engineering team. It includes identification of, but principally the delivery of automation projects. Taskswill include costing, preparation of payback and, depending on size andcomplexities of the project, project management of the install through tocommissioning. You will also need to manage any additional secondary effects to ensure the smooth running ofour plants for all our front-line plant process workers. You are to work withboth our trades and operations teams to ensure your projections align withtheir needs. You will also work closely with contractors to scope and tendereach project. Key objectives: Identify and propose effective solutions toward theimprovement of processing capabilities and process optimization andutilization of plant machinery. Prepare cost saving business cases which includedetailed capex preparation, project timelines, cost quotations and paybackcalculations. Development of Standard Operating Procedures toensure machinery / product is being utilised effectively and is fit forpurpose. Effectively implement change management processeswhile striving for continuous improvement. This position is primarily located at Horotiu inthe Waikato region, however, does require frequent domestic travel tosites based on the projects you are assigned. Qualifications Holds an Engineering degree or other relevanttertiary qualification Strong communication skills to effectivelycommunicate with all key stakeholders including the Trades team, operationsteam and external consultants, contractors and suppliers on a regular basis.
