Steel installer/ welder

We are a medium sized steel company that fabricates and installs structural steel as well as architectural steel around the Southern Lakes district. We are looking to expand our small team and are seeking someone to help with installing steel, general site work including site welding, working alongside Hiab cranes and operators positioning steel. Work is mostly in Queenstown/Wanaka areas but sometimes further travel may be required. To apply for the role you should possess the following: The ability to work as part of a small team and work alone unsupervised. The ability to read basic construction plans Fluent in English Experience in welding is preferable. Be motivated, reliable, punctual and have a good attitude towards health and safety. Have good communication skills and manners - both with our management team and with our clients. Applicant must supply x2 references and be willing to come to Queenstown for a trial. Applicant must be living in New Zealand. 45 hours per week - 7:00am-4:30pm Mon-Fri, with extra hours available when required. Competitive pay - $35+ per hour to be negotiated depending on experience Company vehicle provided with fuel card for work use. Weekly pay cycle.
