Electronics Engineer (Graduate to Intermediate) SeedSpider is a New Zealand technology company developing advanced autonomous robotics for precision agriculture. Our robots help growers improve productivity through intelligent automation, combining robotics, electronics, machine vision and software into robust field-ready machines used by customers in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and North America. As we continue to develop new technologies and expand internationally, we're looking for an Electronics Engineer who wants to be part of a small, innovative team where every contribution makes a visible difference. About the Role As a Junior to Intermediate Electronics Engineer, you'll contribute to the design, development and testing of electronic systems used throughout the SeedSpider product range. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or engineer with up to five years' experience who wants exposure to the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to production and field deployment. You'll have the opportunity to broaden your skills across electronics, embedded systems, robotics and autonomous vehicle technology while working alongside experienced engineers. Key Responsibilities Design and develop PCB hardware. Test, debug and validate electronic systems. Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microprocessors. Integrate electronic hardware into robotic platforms using ROS (Robot Operating System). Design, test and troubleshoot: Power regulation and distribution Support prototype development and product testing. Investigate and resolve hardware issues identified during production or field operation. Collaborate with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams. Use Jira and Git to support project delivery and version control. About You You'll ideally have: A qualification in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline. Graduate to approximately five years' industry experience. Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics. Experience with PCB design and testing. Experience writing embedded firmware. An interest in robotics, automation or autonomous systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. A practical, hands-on approach to engineering. Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Solar power systems Autonomous vehicles or agricultural technology Why Join SeedSpider?
