We're looking for an experienced and passionate Health & Safety Business Partner to join our team and play a key role in driving a strong safety culture across our diverse logistics and transport businesses. Reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Business Partner, you'll partner with leaders across multiple sites and business units, providing expert advice, coaching, and support while helping to implement and continuously improve our health, safety and wellbeing systems. About the Role As our Health & Safety Business Partner, you'll be a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helping embed our health and safety strategy, strengthen critical risk management, and develop capability across all levels of the business. You'll support key programmes including our ACC Accredited Employer Programme (AEP) and ISO 45001 management systems, while contributing to the development of practical frameworks, policies, standards, and initiatives that improve safety outcomes across the Group. Key Responsibilities Drive Compliance and Risk Management Support the ongoing success of MOVe's ACC Accredited Employer Programme (AEP). Support and maintain ISO 45001 certification within our Specialist Lifting & Transport business. Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and relevant regulations. Support critical risk management programmes and internal assurance activities. Facilitate risk assessments and support leaders to identify, assess, and manage operational risks. Develop and improve health and safety policies, standards, SOPs, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS). Provide Technical Health & Safety Expertise Lead and support incident investigations, including critical incidents, using methodologies such as ICAM. Analyse safety performance data, trends, and key risks to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide expert advice on legislative requirements and industry best practice. Support the development and delivery of practical health and safety training and initiatives. Build Capability and Safety Leadership Coach and support leaders to confidently lead health and safety within their teams. Develop the capability of Health & Safety Representatives and Safety Committees. Promote employee participation and engagement in health and safety initiatives. Foster a culture where risk awareness and risk management are shared responsibilities. Partner with the Business Build strong relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders. Influence positive safety behaviours and drive accountability for safety performance. Provide practical, business-focused solutions that improve safety outcomes while supporting operational success. Contribute to strategic health and safety projects and continuous improvement initiatives. About You You're an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys partnering with operational leaders and finding practical solutions to complex challenges. You know how to balance compliance requirements with commercial realities, and you're passionate about helping people work safely. You'll Bring Minimum 5 years' experience in a dedicated Health & Safety role within high-risk industries such as logistics, transport, manufacturing, construction, or similar. NEBOSH, Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent qualification. Strong knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and risk management principles. Experience managing or supporting AEP and/or ISO 45001 systems. Proven experience developing health and safety frameworks, policies, standards, SOPs, and SWMS. Experience implementing and enhancing critical risk management programmes. Strong investigation and root-cause analysis capability. Excellent communication and influencing skills, from frontline teams through to senior leaders. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with the ability to build credibility and trust. Confidence using health and safety systems and reporting tools.
