This role is ideal for someone who thrives on hands-on work, enjoys fabrication and welding projects, and takes pride in building, repairing, and improving agricultural machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers' equipment remains reliable, safe, and fit for purpose. About the role This position has a significant focus on fabrication, welding, and structural repairs, alongside servicing and maintaining agricultural machinery. You will deliver practical solutions to a wide range of mechanical challenges. Key duties include Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on agricultural machinery Fabricating, modifying, and rebuilding machinery components to a high standard Performing welding for repairs and custom fabrication Servicing and maintaining electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems Providing onsite service and technical support to customers Working both independently and as part of a team Maintaining accurate service records and clear communication Continuously learning and adapting to new machinery and technologies About you To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Proven experience in fabrication and welding (essential) Experience in a mechanical, engineering, or service technician role Trade qualification in engineering, fabrication, mechanical, or automotive (preferred but not essential) Strong practical skills in reading drawings, measuring, cutting, and fabricating components Confidence working with electrics, electronics, and hydraulics A problem-solving mindset and the ability to think on your feet A strong work ethic and attention to detail Customer-focused and professional approach Honesty, reliability, and integrity Full, clean driver's licence What we offer Farmchief Machinery Ltd offers a supportive environment with excellent benefits, including: Competitive remuneration based on skills and experience Time and a half paid for hours worked beyond 50 hours per week Tool allowance Company cellphone or allowance Structured on-call roster with generous compensation Ongoing product training and development Opportunities for career progression and upskilling Team-focused culture with regular BBQs, social events, and work shouts Team incentive bonuses Generous Christmas gifts About Farmchief Machinery Ltd Farmchief Machinery Ltd is a family-owned and operated company with a proud history dating back to the 1940s.
