We are currently welcoming applications from people keen to join us as Healthcare Assistants, in both of our aged care facilities - NapierSouth and Taradale. Shifts may be flexible to suit your availability. ABOUT THE ROLE Working as a Healthcare assistant is a busy and diverserole, assisting our residents with their daily living needs and cares,delivering meals, providing emotional care and support and much more.Whether you are an experienced Healthcare worker or someone looking to starttheir career, working as a Healthcare Assistant is a rewarding career path anda vital part of our team optimising the quality of life of our residents. This is a casual "as and when required" position,assisting us to fill gaps in the roster, cover planned and unplannedleave. We have a variety of shifts available including morning,afternoon, nightshift, weekdays and weekends. Casual roles may lead topermanent positions in the future for those wanting to commit to regular hours. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To thrive in our friendly and supportive environment andprovide quality and consistent care to residents we are looking for someonewho: Hasexperience working in health care and/or a desire to work in a aged careenvironment; Minimum Health and Wellbeing Level 2 qualification Canprovide empathy, care and patience with elderly residents; Isfriendly and professional with a high regard for privacy andconfidentiality; Hasa reliable and punctual work ethic; Hasa sense of humour who enjoys working as part of a close well-functioningteam; Isculturally sensitive. Full training and ongoing professional development will beprovided including a supportive and tailored orientation programme to suitindividual needs.
