Job Description
We’re looking for experienced Site Supervisors to join our team in the Whangarei/ Northland region. We're seeking candidates with strong experience in one or more of the following areas: Structural – Demonstrated experience delivering structural projects such as bridges, tunnels, and similar infrastructure. Three Waters – Proven experience working on three waters infrastructure projects. General Construction – Broad construction experience across areas such as roading, earthworks, or similar civil works. As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee daily site operations, lead crews and subcontractors, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. You will also play an important role in promoting and demonstrating the Company's core values of Excellence, People, Integrity, Innovation, and Collaboration across your teams. The Role Lead daily pre-start meetings, risk assessments, and site safety checks. Plan and coordinate work activities to meet project timeframes and budgets. Monitor productivity, material usage, and quality of workmanship. Coordinate plant, suppliers, and subcontractors. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to site teams. Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all incidents, injuries, near misses, and events are reported promptly. Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates. Build positive working relationships with clients, landowners, and members of the public. Address staff issues as they arise and make sound decisions on site to maintain team performance. About You Proven experience supervising civil construction projects. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers. Confident using mobile applications and reporting systems. Willingness to work on projects outside the Northland region when required. A positive attitude towards change, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications Site Safe Supervisor (or equivalent). Trade qualification (Level 4 or higher), such as Carpentry, Drainlaying, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure, or a related discipline. NZQA Unit Standard 4098 Workplace Assessor (preferred but not essential). Full Class 1 or 2 driver's licence with RTW endorsements.
