About the role We are seeking two exceptional primary school teachers to join Tōtara Point School in full-time, permanent positions starting in 2027. Tōtara Point is up and running, with an established leadership team, strong culture, and a clear sense of who we are. Key responsibilities Teach a knowledge-rich curriculum using explicit instruction and consistent routines Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff Deliver Religious Education in line with our Catholic ethos Uphold the school's Catholic mission through your professional conduct About you You're a purposeful, mission-driven teacher who believes all children can achieve with excellent teaching and high expectations. You'll need: NZ teaching registration or eligibility, and a teaching qualification Strong classroom practice and behaviour management Willingness to work in a low-tech school using the Cambridge Primary curriculum Commitment to discipline, structure, and our Catholic ethos Experience with the Spalding Method or structured literacy is a significant advantage.
