The Kind Foundation - Christchurch, South Island Hotel Give is located in central Christchurch, and is part of The Kind Foundation's facilities on Rolleston Avenue. Hotel Give - a socially sustainable stay. Guests who stay at Hotel Give are helping to fund a range of community services and programmes provided by The Kind Foundation. Centrally located next to the Botanic Gardens, Canterbury Museum and Hagley Park, Hotel Give boasts a range of accommodation options including self-contained apartments, deluxe private rooms, and shared bathroom rooms and dorms. Guests enjoy 24-hour reception, and an onsite restaurant/bar and cafe. We are looking for part-time and casual housekeepers to join our team. Hotel Give is open seven days a week, and you must be available to work shifts between the hours 7am to 5pm, including weekends and public holidays. The two options we have available are: Part Time: 20 hours a week Casual: As required Shifts: Shift times start at 7am or 8am, you must be available to start at these times, and finish between 3pm-5pm Wage range: $23.50 + depending on experience Location of work: Hotel Give, 6 Rolleston Avenue, Christchurch Central We're currently recruiting team members who can provide regular weekday availability. Because of the shifts available, these roles are unlikely to suit students. If you're a student, keep an eye out for our fixed-term seasonal positions later in the year, which align well with the university summer break. Responsibilities Clean all guest rooms, bathrooms and shared facilities to the hotel’s high standards within the allocated time Replenish linen, towels and room amenities Report all maintenance problems, damaged equipment and missing items All of this while still representing the core values of The Kind Foundation Skills Required The ability to work as part of a team and follow directions The ability to work under pressure and to a deadline Exceptional personal hygiene and grooming standards Reliability Previous experience is not essential, but the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and have the flexibility to work with others in the team.
