Store Assistant

FRIENDS ASR LIMITED, a grocery store in the Hilltop area, is looking for a Sales Assistant to join the busy store.

Some of the duties related to this position would be:

• Handle and receive incoming goods and food items
\n
• Greet customers and process payments at the counter
\n
• Checking for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices
\n
• Open stock packages and stack the items including performing night fill stacking tasks
\n
• Labelling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed
\n
• Packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes
\n
• Handle customer inquiries regarding the product and services
\n
• Handle customer transactions and ensure the till balances daily
\n
• Operates cash registers and receives payments for goods purchased by customers
\n

Working on weekends and be available on-calls are required for this position.

Offered Wage: $24 - $25 per hour (based on experience)
\n Employment is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Preference will be given to candidates who are already in New Zealand and have relevant work experience. However, prior work experience is not mandatory as proper training will be provided.

All suitable candidates should be able to pass a drug test and a Ministry of Justice check when required.
