Location: Ōtaki Start date: Available immediately Pay rate: $35–$38 per hour (weekly pay) About the Role As a Formwork Carpenter, you'll play an important role in the construction of concrete structures on a major civil project. You'll be responsible for building and installing formwork systems, preparing reinforcement, and assisting with concrete placement while working alongside an experienced construction team. Duties include: Construct timber boxing and formwork for concrete placing Build, erect and modify concrete formwork systems Apply expertise in concrete formwork design and construction methods Select and work with a variety of formwork materials Install and maintain shoring and bracing systems Complete reinforcement placement and assist with steel tying and steel bar assembly Assist with concrete pouring, spreading and finishing Strip and remove formwork safely after concrete has cured Read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications Maintain a safe and productive work environment on site What We're Looking For Previous experience in formwork carpentry and concrete construction Knowledge of concrete formwork systems and reinforcement placement Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Reliable, physically fit and able to work effectively within a team Strong commitment to workplace health and safety What's in it for you?
