The role As Finance Manager,you'lllead our finance team of three:aManagement Accountantand twoFinancecoordinators. You willown the day to day running of the finance function,includingmanagement reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and audit readiness. This is ahands-on operationalleadership.Working closely with the Financial Controller, youset the standard for how financeoperates, coachand developyour team,review key outputs,andensure informationrelied on byleadership and governance isaccurate,timelyanduseful. Whatyou'llbring Experience leading a finance function or team, ideally in a multi-entity or contractfunded- environment Strongcapabilityin management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-enddisciplinesand internal controls A relevant accounting or finance qualificationandstrongfinance leadership experience; CA, CPA or equivalent membership would be highly regarded The confidence to coachand developa team, reviewkey outputs, andmaintainclear standards forqualityand timeliness Acommitment to working in a values-led,kaupapaMāori environment;anunderstanding oftereomeōnatikangawould beanadvantage Becauseyou’llhave a real say in how this function develops.We'relooking for someonewho see a reset as an opportunityto build strong foundations andwhowantstomakea lasting contribution tohow finance supports meaningfuloutcomesfor Ngāti Whakaue.
