Credit Risk Project Lead -- Drive Change & Data

We currently have a number of opportunities available within our Credit Risk Project team. Reporting to the Senior Manager -Credit Risk Projects , you'll be working on projects that aim to improve our credit processes, systems and data, and drive strategic change across the business. There are both permanent and fixed-term opportunities available. Depending on your level of experience and skill set, you will be considered for either: Credit Risk Specialist – 4+ years’ credit risk management experience or equivalent experience in agile project delivery Senior Credit Risk Analyst – 2+ years' credit risk management experience or equivalent experience in agile project delivery Mo te tūranga | About the Role: Leading and owning streams of work within major projects, ensuring project success from both delivery and Credit Risk Management perspectives Representing Credit Risk Management in significant ASB projects that impact credit processes, systems and data Driving the change agenda and ensuring credit risk is at the forefront of process and technology transformation Championing credit risk management tools and embracing new technologies, data, and next-generation models to improve outcomes for the bank and our customers Taking a long-term, strategic view on future-state credit architecture Influencing project scope, design, and priorities, and providing thought leadership within project squads Bachelor's degree— in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics - you've got a solid foundation in a relevant field and are eager to apply your knowledge. Deep understanding of end-to-end credit cycle processes, including retail, SME, and corporate lending. Strong analytical skills—you're skilled at analysing complex data and identifying areas for improvement. Concise and insightful interpretation of information and analysis. Practical experience with credit risk tools (auto-decisioning, servicing strategy, credit bureau integration, valuation strategy, scoring models). Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with confidence to communicate at all levels (written & verbal). Strong priority setting and resource balancing skills.
