Our company values are: Balance Respect Integrity Communication Excellence About the role Due to a period of significant, exciting growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team based in Avondale, Auckland. Reporting to the Engineering and Projects Manager, you will take ownership of mechanical projects across New Zealand and Australia, leading a team of 10–20 across larger projects and then multiple smaller projects. You'll also work closely with the Operations Manager on day-to-day service work and breakdowns, supporting clients who rely on plant and equipment within the industrial engineering field. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who wants real ownership of project outcomes – from scoping and budgeting through to delivery – while mentoring the team around them. Your responsibilities include: Leading and managing mechanical projects from initiation to completion across New Zealand and Australia, ensuring compliance with required industry standards. Developing quotes, budgets and resource plans built around customer requirements and business objectives. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed on progress, schedule, budget, scope changes and quality. Leading a project team of 10–20, allocating tasks and responsibilities clearly so everyone has defined expectations and deadlines. Working alongside the Operations Manager on day-to-day service work and breakdown response. Conducting project risk assessments to anticipate and resolve issues before they impact delivery. Monitoring project schedules and resolving issues with all teams involved. Reporting to and collaborating with the Engineering and Projects Manager on overall project strategy. As the successful candidate, you will have: 5–10 years' experience in project management or a senior technical leadership role. A trade background – mechanical fitting, maintenance engineering, or electrical engineering – ideally with experience in process systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics or liquids handling. Project management qualifications are not required but will be highly advantageous. A strong understanding of financial management, budgeting and resourcing. Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. Proven ability to lead and develop a team of 10–20 people. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with clients and colleagues alike. Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to run multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
