Phoenix Healthcare Group – Rolleston, South Island Registered Nurses & Healthcare Assistant/Receptionists After Hours Primary Care Service | Rolleston Immediate Start | Casual & Part-Time Opportunities Help Launch Selwyn's New After Hours GP Service Phoenix Health Hub Rolleston has secured a new Extended Hours Primary Care Contract to provide after-hours medical care for the Selwyn community. We have already recruited an exceptional team of experienced General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners and are now looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistant/Receptionists to join us as we launch this exciting new service. This isn't an urgent care clinic with late night to 1am shifts! Instead, you'll be working in a modern General Practice environment, providing quality after-hours care for patients who need to be seen outside standard GP hours. Flexible shifts that work around your lifestyle Choose the hours that suit you. Our normal practice hours are: Monday-Friday | 8.30am-5.00pm After Hours shifts available: Monday-Friday | 5.00pm-8.00pm Saturday & Sunday | 9.00am-5.00pm Whether you're looking for: Casual work One or two shifts each week Regular part-time hours Extra work alongside your current role We'd love to hear from you. A supportive clinical team, every shift is staffed by a minimum of: General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner Registered Nurse Healthcare Assistant/Receptionist This service operates as an extension of a normal General Practice day, with a combination of booked appointments, walk-in patients and some telephone triage. Patient volumes are intentionally manageable, with a maximum of approximately three patients per clinician per hour , allowing time to deliver safe, quality patient care. Registered Nurse Position ($55) In this role you will: Undertake telephone and in-person triage Perform acute nursing assessments Support GPs and Nurse Practitioners during consultations and procedures Provide wound care and other primary care nursing interventions Record patient observations and maintain accurate clinical documentation Assist with patient flow and clinic efficiency Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care Ideally you will have experience in: General Practice Primary Care Urgent Care Emergency Department or Acute Assessment Must hold current APC While we value all nursing backgrounds, this role is best suited to nurses who are confident in patient assessment and decision making within a primary care environment. Healthcare Assistant / Receptionist ($35hr) This is a unique dual role combining front-of-house reception with clinical support. Your responsibilities will include: Greeting and registering patients Managing appointments and patient flow Answering telephone enquiries Supporting the nursing team with clinical tasks Blood pressure checks and basic observations (where appropriate) Preparing clinical rooms Maintaining a welcoming, organised and efficient reception environment Assisting to ensure every patient has an exceptional experience Experience in General Practice reception or as a Healthcare Assistant will be highly regarded.
