Mō te tūnga | About the role Health Care Assistants Ara Poutama Aotearoa Health Services is seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed individuals capable of working in a wide range of Health Care Assistant (HCA) activities for those in our care who have ongoing complex health and/or disability needs. HCAs work within a primary health care setting, administering medication, assisting in health care delivery to patients, all under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This is an opportunity for Health Care Assistants with at least two years' experience in health care in New Zealand to join a high-performing health team who are dedicated and committed to developing and embedding a Kaupapa Māori based model of care into the heart of health services delivery. Daily responsibilities involve providing a comprehensive range of primary health care services, managing medication administration, assessing and managing individuals with various health needs, including physical and mental health, substance abuse, health education, and responding to emergencies while offering acute care. To be successful in this role, you will have: At least two years of recent clinical experience in either primary or secondary health care nursing in New Zealand. A diverse range of post-graduate clinical exposure. The ability to assess and respond effectively to emergency situations. A strong motivation to continue learning and advancing professionally. A non-judgmental approach. Experience in triage, which is considered desirable for these roles. Be eligible to work in New Zealand. The full salary range is for an Enrolled Nurse is $71,333 - $86,887 per annum. The full salary range is for a Registered Nurse is $77,289 - $108,874 per annum.
