Counsellor, Pasifika Primary Mental Health and Addictions Service Are you a registered Counsellor? Do you have experience in Pasifika primary mental health and addictions? Are you passionate about working with Pasifika people? Can you speak a Pasifika language? Fonua Ola is continuing to expand her services and the role of Counsellor is to provide support, intervention and tools to help with distress and build resilience for Pasifika peoples. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of Pasifika Wellbeing Practitioners in the Hala Ora, Pasifika Wellbeing Service (Primary Mental Health and Addictions). The role will also include managing a caseload of individuals, couples, families and also group work. You must be able to work in a holisticservice environment and be committed to continuous service delivery and improvement. We are looking for a motivated and flexible Counsellor for our Hala Ora Pasifika Wellbeing Service team (Primary Mental Health and Addictions team). The successful candidates will: Be NZ registered health professionals with current annual practicing certificates. Ideally haverelevant post graduatestudy. Have training in talking therapies e.g. CBT, MI, ACT, DBT, BSFT. Be able to use Pasifika frameworks, narratives and tools to improve wellbeing and connection to identity. Be experienced in running therapeutic groups. A clean, current driver's licence is an essential requirement. You will be supported in your role with a mobile phone and laptop, have yourannual practicing certificate fees paid and be offered ongoing professional development.
