More information on the programme of work can be found in the link below; Integrated Data Infrastructure | Stats NZ In this newly created fixed termrole,theSeniorSolutions Architect, Securitywill bepart of a multidisciplinary teamin shaping and advancingarchitecture standards, aligning datastrategiesand providing technical leadership across technology initiatives that are consistent with Stats NZenterprisearchitecture guidance. Operating within a complex environment this role will support the design and development of a pragmatic future-state architecture, spanning legacy and modern platforms. This role will have the scope to work across security stacks that apply to the protection and security requirements for Stats NZ and the IDI influencing the security environment that will be of national significance. The ideal candidate will be able to apply a holisticenterprise-wideperspective,working closely withproject and business stakeholdersto understand their priorities and advise on their strategic business technology options and to help executethe IDIstrategy. Thiswill allow the IDI to remain robust, agile,secure, and fit for purpose, supporting both operational delivery and future capability uplift. The scope of this role includes: Collaborate closelywith project stakeholderstodeveloparchitecture roadmapsto align architecture with current and future state businessworkflows. Define and document non-functional requirements (e.g. performance, scalability, security, reliability)toensure theseare embeddedin architectural decisions and deliveryplanning. Establish and govern integration and data strategies, including data ownership, data flow, and consistency acrossplatforms. Develop architecture artefacts, technicaldesignsand solution documentationtoidentifygaps, drive improvementssupport project delivery. Evaluate,selectand recommendthe right technology stackandframeworksfor enterprise applications andplatforms. Ensure architecture decisions and approachesare clearly documentedandsupport future projectdelivery. Provide a robust architectural basis for managing risks, sizing,estimatingand assessing future solution options. Build strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholdersthrougheffective andtimelycommunication,quickly building credibility and trust. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships acrossthe projectand the business while providingpractical solutions and pathsforward. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and deliver detailed information in plainlanguage. Demonstrated experience mapping customer requirementswhileensuring that solutionsare optimisedacross projects to maximise resources, mitigate riskandcost. Thought leadership: able to apply a broad understanding of existing and emerging technologies and solutionsand the impacts and constraints on decision making. Experience developing migration and transition strategies that balance technical improvement with operationalcontinuity. The ability to organise information into meaningful patterns whileidentifyingnew opportunities andtrends. Possess excellent judgement and sound decision-making skills to help meet our aspirations in delivering better social outcomes for all New Zealanders.
