Diesel Mechanic (BOP)

We are New Zealand’s sole distributor for globally recognised underground infrastructure brands including Ditch Witch, Subsite, Ring-O-Matic and HammerHead. Our equipment supports some of New Zealand’s leading contractors and infrastructure projects, and includes directional drills, trenchers, hydro excavators, vacuum systems, mini skid steers and specialised underground construction equipment. We are currently seeking a high-calibre Service Technician to join our Bay of Plenty (Papamoa) branch. This is not a production-line workshop role - this position suits someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to be recognised as a trusted technical partner to customers. As the sole technician based in the region, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers and representing our business locally. You will work closely alongside our Sales team and wider national support network, taking ownership of the region and delivering the high level of service our customers expect from premium brands. The role is varied and hands-on, involving: Field service and diagnostics Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting New machine assembly and commissioning Customer support and technical advice Preventative maintenance and repairs Supporting local branch operations and parts activity where required We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organised, and capable of working independently while still contributing strongly to the wider team. You must be someone who genuinely cares about customer outcomes and takes pride in delivering a professional result every time. Ideally, you will come from the heavy equipment, construction, agricultural, transport or automotive industries and have strong diagnostic capability across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
