Technical Sales Engineer

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to join our exceptional HVAC Applied Products team supporting our customers with technical information, design and application support, and ultimately successful application of product from across BDT’s Applied Products portfolio. You will be a trusted advisor with a focus on maintaining a high level of contact with key accounts while building strong relationships sector wide. In your role you will work collaboratively with customers on everything from small, mid, and large-scale commercial projects to identifying and development of new market/business opportunities with technologies unique to Mitsubishi Electric. About you: To be successful in this role you will not only need technical ability and knowledge in HVAC, but exceptional relationship skills that allow you to build rapport and gain trust across your customer base. You will have the ability to work in a consultative manner to identify solutions, be a persuasive presenter, master negotiator, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need a clean driver licence and most of all a winning attitude. This role requires regular travel throughout the lower North Island which may include being away overnight. Qualifications & Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience within the HVAC industry is essential and a related engineering qualification is preferred. A qualification within trade would also be considered.
