2972 - Equipment Maintenance Technician - Hampton Downs Are you a skilled heavy diesel mechanic looking for your next opportunity? We're on the lookout for a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hampton PARRC Landfill. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in heavy equipment maintenance who enjoys fault finding, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of plant and machinery in a practical, site-based environment. Your duties would include: Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repair of landfill and processing equipment Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs on a wide range of heavy plant and machinery Working on landfill-specific equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, loaders, and supporting plant Completing planned servicing and preventative maintenance tasks Monitoring equipment performance and identifying potential issues Maintaining accurate service records and documentation Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard Supporting continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance The ideal candidate for this role will: A trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Plant, or Mechanical Engineering 5+ years' experience working on heavy equipment, mobile plant, or industrial machinery Experience working on dozers, excavators, compactors, loaders, or similar heavy plant Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems Experience using technical manuals and fault-finding processes A proactive, reliable approach with a strong work ethic Solid understanding of health & safety practices in a heavy industrial environment What we offer Competitive pay package + tool of trade vehicle, phone, and laptop Exposure to a wide variety of heavy equipment and site-based machinery Supportive team environment with experienced technicians Ongoing training and development opportunities Safety and well-being are paramount to us, so our recruitment process involves a Ministry of Justice criminal background check, and a pre-employment medical including drug test.
