To help us achieve this, we have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Specialist Trades Team, supporting apprentices and employers across the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Tairāwhiti (Gisborne) regions. We help New Zealanders ‘earn and learn' in a way to suit their life - on the job, on campus and online. Mō te tūnga | About the role We are looking for a strong advocate for vocational education and workplace learning to join our nationwide network of Account Managers. You will take ownership of a portfolio of apprentices and employers, building trusted relationships and providing practical guidance and pastoral support to help apprentices progress successfully through their training. You will also identify and develop opportunities to grow EarnLearn’s presence and strengthen relationships with employers throughout these regions. This is a highly autonomous, field-based position. You will need to be comfortable planning your own schedule, maintaining an effective customer call cycle and working independently while travelling throughout a broad geographical area. The role will ideally be based in or around Whakatāne and will include: regular travel throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty; travel to customers in Gisborne/Tairāwhiti approximately once a month; and attendance at EarnLearn’s Tauranga office approximately once a week to connect with the Regional Manager and wider team. Due to the regional nature of the position, some flexibility in travel and working hours will be required. A company vehicle with full personal use is provided. An understanding of work-based learning and knowledge of the trades sector in Aotearoa New Zealand would be an advantage, but are not essential. To be successful in this role you will need: Exceptional people skills, with the ability to relate to people from all walks of life with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. Experience in account management maintaining a regular call cycle across an assigned territory. Strong in relationship management, networking, and customer service experience. Time management skills, with a future-focus. Excellent digital skills – and the aptitude for new technologies. You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand to be eligible for this position.
