Job Description
A Hawkes Bay Based Company, LAE Limited, is looking for a suitable candidate with an Electronics Engineering Technician with a New Zealand IMC Level 4 qualification (or equivalent), to be based in Hastings, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. The position details are as follows; Position Title: Electronic Engineering Technician Reporting to: Director and/or Supervising Senior IMC Lead Technician Remuneration: $43 to $46/hr Hours of work: 45 hrs/week Typically 7am - 5pm (Mon - Fri) Area of work: Hawkes Bay, Hastings, NZ Key Position Responsibilities Designing and updating technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and documentation related to electronic and automation systems. Performing calibration and verification of electronic instruments in accordance with the calibration schedule, including the completion of calibration certificates. Diagnosing and repairing faults in electronic instrumentation systems, including I/O modules, communication cards, power supplies, and related components. Interpreting system data and signals to perform accurate fault finding and restore functionality efficiently. Evaluating and estimating costs for new instrumentation, ensuring compatibility with existing systems prior to installation. Assisting with the installation, commissioning, and integration of new electronic and automated systems, ensuring correct configuration and functionality. Maintaining and updating the instrumentation calibration schedule to meet audit and regulatory requirements. Supporting the development and testing of electronic and automated control systems. Ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with LAE Ltd. and Kraft Heinz Health & Safety policies, while actively contributing to a safe work environment. Providing technical support and on-the-job training to trainees or junior team members when required. Collaborating with electrical staff, engineers, and project managers to ensure effective coordination across departments. Maintaining full ownership and understanding of installed instrumentation, including level, pressure, temperature, flow, and weighing systems.
