What you'll be doing As a Data Centre Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving our mission-critical infrastructure, including: Operating and maintaining the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data centre Ensuring the reliable operation of power, cooling and environmental systems Monitoring, maintaining and optimising critical infrastructure to maximise uptime Providing remote hands and onsite technical support for local and international customers Working alongside vendors, contractors and maintenance partners to deliver best-practice operations Supporting infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansions and continuous improvement initiatives Contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused engineering team What you'll bring Current New Zealand Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) registration as a Registered Electrician with a current practising licence (essential) 7+ years' engineering experience within a data centre, telecommunications, critical infrastructure or similar environment Strong working knowledge of switchboards, UPS systems, HVAC, generators, transformers, fire systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) Experience coordinating contractors and technical service providers Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and suppliers A relevant engineering qualification is advantageous What success looks like You’ll become a trusted expert who helps keep New Zealand's most connected data centre operating at the highest standard.
