NZ Labour Hire Auckland Ltd is offering permanent full-time opportunities for reliable and hardworking Hammerhands looking to further develop their experience within the construction industry. We provide ongoing training, mentoring, and support while working across a range of civil infrastructure and vertical construction projects throughout New Zealand. PPE, training, mentoring and ongoing support provided. Our projects include commercial construction, concrete works, infrastructure, subdivisions, and general construction support across active worksites. Key Responsibilities Assisting carpenters, tradespeople, and site supervisors on construction sites General construction support and labouring duties Preparing materials and maintaining safe work areas Measuring, cutting, and preparing basic building materials under supervision Assisting with framing, formwork, and concrete support work Assembling basic framing and temporary structures under direction Using basic hand and power tools safely and effectively Loading, unloading, and moving construction materials Site clean-up and general manual labouring duties Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times Requirements Previous Hammerhand experience (at least 6 months) or Secondary Education (Highschool) Ability to use basic hand and power tools Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual labour Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment Site Safe passport preferred but not essential Reliable transport preferred due to varying worksites Pay Rates from $26 - 29 per hour depending on experience Work Location Projects and worksites are located across different regions. The role may require travel to various work locations in accordance with our Working Away Policy.
