Horizon Energy Group (HEG) – Rosebank, North Island 20d ago , from Horizon Energy Group (HEG) AquaFire is expanding in the Auckland market — and we're looking for a customer‑focused, experienced Fire Equipment Technician to help grow our new fire protection service stream. This is a rare opportunity to join at ground level , support our Auckland clients, and help build a new regional offering from scratch. Aquaheat New Zealand is one of New Zealand's most respected HVAC and mechanical project contractors. Alongside our core business, we operate several specialist divisions including AquaFire (fire protection solutions), Colt (louvre and smoke control systems), and Classic Metal (roofing and cladding solutions). With over 70 years' experience, we deliver end-to-end solutions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. From heating, cooling, and ventilation to fire protection and roofing, we design, install, and maintain systems that help keep New Zealand running. About the Role: Inspect, test, service, and replace HOFFE (fire extinguishers, hose reels, and related equipment) Identify risks and provide practical fire protection solutions Service and sell fire extinguishers and hose reels as core duties Advise customers on appropriate equipment based on site risk Complete inspection reports, job sheets, and remedial notes accurately Support growth by identifying new business opportunities Work independently, manage your own time, and maintain strong customer relationships Ensure all work meets NZ Standards, safety requirements, and company guidelines About You: Experienced Fire Equipment Technician or similar fire protection background Strong understanding of NZ fire equipment standards and risk‑mitigation practices Technically confident identifying risks and recommending solutions Comfortable servicing and selling extinguishers and hose reels Knowledge of suppression systems (bonus) Customer‑focused with a good understanding of the sales process Able to work independently and manage your own workload Strong communication and professionalism Current NZ Driver Licence What's in it for you?
