About the role We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join Max Fashions as a Part Time Sales Assistant at our Paraparaumu Wellington store location. This is a part-time position offering flexible working hours that fit around your lifestyle. In this role, you will be the face of Max Fashions, providing outstanding customer service and driving sales through genuine engagement with our shoppers. You will contribute to creating a positive shopping environment whilst representing our brand values and maintaining our reputation for excellence in fashion retail. What you'll be doing Greeting customers warmly and providing expert fashion advice tailored to their individual style preferences and needs Processing transactions accurately using our point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments Creating eye-catching visual displays and maintaining store presentation standards to maximise product appeal Restocking shelves and clothing racks with attention to detail and organisation Building rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits and loyalty to Max Fashions Assisting with stock management, inventory checks, and product organisation Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak trading periods Staying informed about current product ranges, promotions, and brand messaging to communicate effectively with customers Handling customer enquiries and complaints professionally and constructively What we are looking for A genuine passion for fashion and an ability to engage customers with authentic enthusiasm Strong communication skills with a natural ability to connect with diverse customer groups Previous retail experience or proven customer service background, though we welcome enthusiastic newcomers to retail Reliability and flexibility with availability, including potential weekend and evening shifts The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and service A positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and procedures Basic numeracy skills for accurate till operation and stock management Excellent personal presentation and the ability to represent the Max Fashions brand What we offer Benefits include a generous staff discount on all fashion products, giving you access to our latest collections at special rates.
