Seipp Construction is looking for two experienced Leading Hands to join our team delivering the Benmore Dam seismic strengthening project. This is a rare opportunity to work on one of New Zealand's most significant infrastructure projects while developing your leadership skills alongside an experienced project team. Whether your background is in civil construction, heavy mechanical, structural steel or industrial projects, we're looking for people who enjoy leading by example and helping others succeed. About the role As a Leading Hand, you'll work alongside our Foremen, Engineers and Project Managers to coordinate day-to-day construction activities, support your crew and keep work progressing safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where you'll spend your time out on site, leading small teams, solving problems and helping deliver high-quality work. No two days will be the same. Depending on your experience, you could be involved in civil works, structural steel installation, mechanical construction, heavy lifting activities or specialist infrastructure works. Who we're looking for We're interested in experienced people from a range of construction backgrounds, including: Civil construction Mechanical construction Structural steel Heavy industrial projects Bridge construction Water infrastructure Hydro generation Mechanical fitting Concrete structures You may currently be a: Leading Hand Charge Hand Senior Operator Senior Tradesperson Experienced Civil or Mechanical Team Leader If you've naturally become the person others look to for direction and support, we'd love to hear from you.
