Mō te tūnga | About the role Reporting to the Manager QPI Methodology and Insights , the Quality Lead will take a lead in promoting practice excellence and ensuring quality systems and functions are in place to provide credible information, advice and analysis on the quality of practice for tamariki and their whānau. Of key importance will be your strong analytical skills and experience in quality assurance and continuous improvement frameworks and methodologies, including strong understanding of social work practice. You will use evidence and data to draw clear conclusions, identify opportunities for practice improvement and provide tailored advice that supports consistent, high-quality service delivery for tamariki and their whānau. This is a pivotal role where you will lead and promote the delivery of effective and timely practice quality assurance services, drive continuous improvement across processes and systems, and help build capability by coaching and mentoring members of the team and the wider group. You will bring strong leadership skills to facilitate discussions, negotiate persuasively and influence decision making, working collaboratively with senior leaders to support informed decisions and contribute to positive outcomes for tamariki and young people. Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring Significant experience in quality assurance and continuous improvement frameworks, methodologies and practice. Strong understanding of social work practice. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, influence decision making and negotiate persuasively. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise evidence and data to draw clear conclusions and identify opportunities for practice improvement. Experience driving process and system improvements to support performance across multiple channels. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Practical project management experience, including planning, organising and delivery. A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships. Conceptual thinking, with the ability to provide strategic and thought leadership. Ability to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement advice reflects our Māori cultural framework and Oranga Tamariki practice approach. Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, in particular knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures. A willingness to travel within New Zealand to fulfil the job requirements and a full, clean New Zealand drivers licence. Oranga Tamariki offers a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $125,926 and $139,459 depend e nt on experience .
