As our delivery and funding activity continues to grow in scale and complexity, we are seeking an experienced Executive Manager Programmes & Delivery to provide strong executive leadership across our programme portfolios and funding system. Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Finance Manager /Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our iwi. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior finance leader who is passionate about combining strong commercial leadership with kaupapa Māori values and who understands the importance of protecting and growing resources for current and future generations. About the Role Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, oversight and stewardship across Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua. As a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board and Executive Leadership Team, you will lead all aspects of financial management including: Financial strategy and planning Treasury and cashflow management Budgeting and forecasting Financial reporting and analysis Audit and compliance Procurement governance Investments and asset management Commercial initiatives and business growth Finance systems and continuous improvement You will also provide strategic oversight of financial performance across the wider group, supporting sound governance, sustainable growth and informed decision-making. About You You are a highly respected finance executive with a track record of leading high-performing teams and influencing strategic outcomes at executive and governance levels. You will bring: Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) or equivalent professional qualification Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Minimum 10 years' senior financial leadership experience Demonstrated executive leadership experience Strong expertise in financial planning, treasury, audit and governance Experience presenting complex financial information to Boards and senior leaders Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills Highly Desirable Experience working within iwi, Māori organisations, trusts or not-for-profit entities Property, investment or asset portfolio management experience Experience working with Boards and governance entities Funding and grant management experience ERP and finance systems transformation experience What We're Looking For Leads with integrity and accountability Demonstrates sound judgement and commercial insight Builds trusted and enduring relationships Understands the importance of cultural values in decision-making Can balance financial sustainability with whānau aspirations Is committed to continuous improvement and excellence At Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua, our work is grounded in service to our people and the aspirations of our iwi.
