Site Engineer, Ō2NL Highway: Pavements & Utilities

Site Engineer - Te Pae o Tararua - Ōtaki to North of Levin (Ō2NL) About the Project The Te Pae o Tararua (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, while increasing transport choices for a growing population. The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council. This is a transformative infrastructure project being delivered using a two-alliance model. About the Role We are looking for two Site Engineers: one to join our Pavements team and one to join our Utilities/Accommodation team. Coordinate site engineering activities, temporary works, and scheduling. Support the preparation of construction programmes, inspection plans, and quality records. Provide technical guidance to supervisors and interpret engineering drawings for field teams. Undertake inspections, tests, and engineering audits to ensure compliance. Monitor progress, manpower, and costs, maintaining accurate reports. Manage document control and ensure adherence to McConnell Dowell's safety, quality, and environmental standards. About you Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering. Previous experience in an engineering or construction role (internships or graduate-level experience advantageous). Must have civil infrastructure experience Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
