Job Description

3mo ago , from SEEK Volunteer New Zealand Growing Through Grief is a social service of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu, providing Seasons for Growth® education and peer-support programmes for children, young people, and adults who are experiencing change, loss and grief in their lives. This may include the death of a loved one, parental separation or divorce, moving house or school, as well as many other life changes and losses. As a volunteer (who we call companions) you will be trained to deliver a suite of programmes. You will be reliable and able to commit few hours each week during the school term. You will need to be a good listener and have come to terms with your own loss and grief experience. Attending a grief and loss seminar and child protection training is also required (provided by us). A police background check is required for this role.
