About the role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Aide to join our team on a part-time basis . As a Teacher Aide, you will play a part in creating an inclusive classroom environment where all learners feel supported and valued. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people whilst working collaboratively with our wonderful staff. Hours: Monday – Friday, 3 hours 20 minutes per day (Up to 25 hours per week in Term 4). Start and finish times are negotiable. Start Date: 17th August (Negotiable) Key responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 care, safety monitoring, and learning support for a student with high health needs. Work flexibly within the classroom to assist students who need extra learning support. Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher, Learning Support Coordinator (SENCO), and external health or educational professionals. Help maintain an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment. What we’re looking for A genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with additional or special needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families Patience, empathy and a non-judgemental approach to supporting learners with diverse needs Ability to follow instructions from teachers and implement agreed strategies consistently Relevant experience in education support, childcare or special needs assistance are advantageous Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also working independently when required Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing student needs and classroom requirements What we offer Dairy Flat School is an excellent place to work, offering a supportive and collaborative school culture.
