European Stone Masons – Wellington Central, North Island European Stone Masons Ltd is seeking a Class 2 Driver and Warehouse professional to join our dynamic team in Wellington CBD. This is a full-time position that combines driving and warehouse operations, playing a crucial role in our logistics and distribution operations. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring our customers receive their deliveries on time and in perfect condition. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and reputation of our supply chain. What you'll be doing Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to sites across the Wellington region Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety standards are met Loading and unloading vehicles with care, ensuring proper securing and organisation of cargo Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods into the warehouse system Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch according to customer requirements Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, stock movements and warehouse transactions Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (with appropriate certifications) Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment in both the vehicle and warehouse Communicating effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies What we're looking for Current New Zealand Class 2 Driver Licence with a clean driving record Proven experience as a driver and in warehouse operations within the transport and logistics sector Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to driving and warehousing Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with relevant certifications preferred Excellent time management and organisational skills Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly Strong communication and customer service skills Reliability and punctuality, with a professional attitude Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse software is advantageous A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism What we offer At European Stone Masons Ltd, we value our employees and provide a supportive working environment where you can develop your career in the warehousing and logistics sector.
