Are you passionate about creating better sport and physical activity experiences for rangatahi? Our current Regional Sports Director is leaving us for bigger and brighter things. Therefore, we're on the lookout for a superstar to take his place,to lead and support secondary schools and kura across Counties Manukau—helping ensure all young people, regardless of ability or background, can access and enjoy quality play, active recreation and sport opportunities. About the Role As one of two Regional Sports Directors, you’ll work closely with secondary schools, communities and sector partners to strengthen participation, improve systems, and shape more inclusive and engaging opportunities for rangatahi. This is a unique opportunity to influence how sport is delivered in schools—ensuring it reflects what young people need, value and enjoy. What you'll be doing Partner with secondary schools and kura to plan and grow quality sport and physical activity opportunities Use student voice and insights to inform decision-making and improve participation Support access to Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa and other initiatives Build strong relationships across education, sport, health and community sectors Develop and support Directors of Sport and school leaders through learning and development opportunities Champion approaches like Balance is Better and Good Sports® Connect schools with community providers, clubs and opportunities What we’re looking for Extensive experience in sports development and secondary school engagement Proven track record of growing participation in sport and physical activity programmes Effective relationship-building and networking skills Strong project management and leadership abilities Ability to turn insights into action Passion for equity, inclusion and improving outcomes for rangatahi Understanding of the sport and education landscape in Aotearoa A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice What we offer At CLM Community Sport, we're passionate about increasing participation in play, active recreation and sport.
