Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern - Auckland, North Island We are seeking a Nurse Educator in Adult Medical nursing to complement our team at Te Toka Tumai's General Medicine services. The Nurse Educator is responsible for promoting, facilitating and providing clinical education to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, promote clinical excellence and evidenced-based professional nursing practice. You will be a Registered Nurse with experience in an General Medicine and acute assessment unit setting. You need to have a sound nursing philosophy through which you demonstrate your commitment to clinical leadership, quality care delivery and your own ongoing professional development. As a Senior Nurse looking to apply for a role that will challenge your abilities we want you to have: Proven project management and/or nursing leadership Have at least 5 years nursing experience including 2 years in a senior level (level 3-4) Be able to create and nurture an environment which encourages a team approach that achieves a high level of clinical effectiveness, efficiency and productivity Exceptional communication skills Ideally you will have recently completed or be studying toward a relevant postgraduate qualification. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Childrens Hospital, located in central Auckland.
