Hydro Truck Operator

We’re looking for an experienced Hydro Truck Driver to join the All Drains team based out of our Penrose yard. You’ll be operating our hydro excavation equipment across a range of drainage and civil projects throughout Auckland - carrying out hydro digging, drain cleaning, and waste disposal work. This is a hands-on, operationally critical role that suits someone who takes pride in running a clean machine, keeping accurate records, and showing up ready to go every shift. Hours are Mon-Fri, overtime paid at overtime rates, and availability for our on-call roster required. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Operating the hydro truck safely and efficiently on drainage and civil sites across Auckland Hydro excavation, drain cleaning, and liquid waste removal Transporting and disposing of waste material in line with compliance requirements Carrying out pre-start checks and maintaining the truck to a high standard Writing accurate job notes, time records, and photographing site conditions and completed work Working alongside crews on site and communicating clearly about the job Following all health and safety procedures and site-specific requirements Being available for the on-call roster as required WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Current Class 4 licence minimum - must be clean Proven experience operating a hydro truck or similar vacuum/combination unit Solid understanding of drainage, civil, or infrastructure environments Strong awareness of traffic management and public-facing worksite safety Comfortable with on-call availability and varied shift times Reliable, self-motivated, and takes ownership of the job from start to finish Comfortable using job management apps for record keeping, time entries, and site photos LICENCE & ENDORSEMENTS REQUIRED Class 4 Minimum - current and clean PREFERRED Dangerous Goods - advantageous for this role OUR VALUES At All Drains, our values shape how we operate every day - in the cab, yard, office, on site, and with our clients.
