1st time this role has been open in 10+ yrsPrevious eng. manager experience requiredHuge name in NZ food processingWellington site based role WELLINGTON FOOD PROCESSING SITE - ENGINEERING MANAGER THE ROLE: Reporting into the Plant Manager, as Engineering Manager, you will oversee the strategic decisions & associated documentation to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, compliance & regulatory requirements. Use your Continual Improvements skills for identifying & implementing technical projects & programs that improve processes, reduce costs, or increase output. Essential Functions: Manage the Engineering department Preventive maintenance of production equipment. Reporting functions, Management Reviews, etc. Ensure Quality Engineering Best Practice. Generating and maintaining budgets. Hiring, training, mentoring & supervising staff members Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, pref. mechanical engineering OR Trade Certification equivalent Min 5 years' experience in food processing site Min 2 years' experience as Eng/ Maintenance ManagerDemonstrated experience in managing engineers & contractors.
