We’re now looking for a part-time Fitness Instructor who is ready to support our community to stay active and healthy! About the role | Ko te mahi nei You will be part of the fitness team responsible for providing fitness programmes,assessmentsand services. You will be the go-to person on the gym floor, actively engaging, supervising, and educating clients on techniques whilst they train. Other aspects of the role include: Providing quality service equally to all our customers, with an understanding of diversity Being time efficient while creating tailored fitness programmes Responsible for keeping yourself and others safe while at work and ensuring our users have a clean, and tidy space to train bymaintainingcleanliness of the equipment and the facility Effective communicator with the ability to share important information across keeping colleagues and team leaders updated on day-to-day activities and key developments Communicating and building rapport with our customers to support engagement and participation through new Initiatives Supporting day-to-day administrative activities You will have the ability to communicate well with a diverse range of customers, verbal & written Be engaging, informative and take pride inhelping others achieve their goals Skilled at building strong relationships with customers and members, creating a welcoming and inclusive gym environment. Confident in introducing new and existing members to one another, fostering social connections and helping to develop a warm, vibrant, and supportive environment for all Hold a Level 4 fitness qualification or higher A current comprehensive first aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one. Hours of work: Various roles available across a range of days and hours, please select your preferred preferences when completing your application Position: Part-time, Permanent Salary: $30.98 per hour Location: This is based at Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre, 50 Saint Asaph Street, Christchurch.
